Neusticomys is a genus of semiaquatic South American rodents in the family Cricetidae.

It contains the following six species:

  • Ferreira's fish-eating rat (Neusticomys ferreirai) â€" Percequillo, Carmignotto & Silva, 2005
  • Montane fish-eating rat (Neusticomys monticolus) â€" Anthony, 1921
  • Musso's fish-eating rat (Neusticomys mussoi) â€" Ochoa G. & Soriano, 1991
  • Oyapock's fish-eating rat (Neusticomys oyapocki) â€" (Dubost & Petter, 1978)
  • Peruvian fish-eating rat (Neusticomys peruviensis) â€" (Musser & Gardner, 1974)
  • Venezuelan fish-eating rat (Neusticomys venezuelae) â€" (Anthony, 1929)
